About

The portobello mushroom fries alone are worth the drive to Hurricane. Pig's Ear serves elevated comfort food in a laid-back space with exposed brick and industrial touches. You'll find everything from perfectly cooked steaks and fall-off-the-bone ribs to creative takes on classics like their popular "Superbowl" chicken dish.

The menu hits all the right notes. Baby back ribs come with that ideal balance of smoky and sweet. The Parmesan chicken cutlets deliver a crispy coating that doesn't sacrifice the juicy interior. Fresh seafood options like salmon and prawns round out the hearty lineup. Don't skip the key lime pie (seriously, don't).

They pour a solid selection of cocktails, beer, and wine to pair with your meal. The bar program keeps things straightforward rather than flashy, which fits the vibe perfectly. Service runs friendly and attentive, with servers who know the menu inside and out.

Reservations are essential, especially during peak Zion season. This isn't a place you can just drop into on a whim. The restaurant sits about 20 minutes from Zion's main entrance, making it a perfect dinner stop after a day in the park. Hurricane locals pack the place year-round, which tells you everything you need to know about consistency.

It’s fine. It’s not great. Yet it’s as close to God food as you’ll find in St. George. The presentation and plating is nice. Looks great. But the food itself leaves a lot to be desired. Hoping it would be more like a Copper Onion in SLC, but doesn’t meet that bar. I don’t know what the deal is with St. George, but it is not a food destination city. Here’s the breakdown on what our group got. What to avoid: - The salmon (overcooked and fishy) - prawns (beautiful butterflied presentation, but overcooked to the point of being tough. And the mashed potatoes subbed in were just mashed potatoes with no sign of cream or butter.) What was okay: - Ribs were tender, but the sauce is too sweet. Needs a little heat. - Shaking beef - Bread pudding Apps were the best thing: - Carrots and Cauliflower with curry good - The steak taco app was the best thing we ate AFTER we seasoned the steak ourselves. I wouldn’t return nor recommend to my friends.

Plan ahead a make a reservation or you’ll be turn away. We tried to visit a year ago while in the area and learned that lesson. The food was phenomenal, not a single item left us disappointed. The cocktail menu is a little underwhelming. If you like margaritas, you may want to order a different drink as their margarita was very sweet. For the price point, the atmosphere is lacking. Our server was great and attentive. Checking in with the hostess and getting sat was a little chaotic considering we had a reservation. We’ll absolutely be back and add this to our list of must visit while in Southern Utah.

Food was so good! Came out hot and was delicious. We had some fries, they were hot and crispy and cooked so well. Hubs got the ribs, half rack was huge and good flavor, his Mac and cheese was so good, he dipped the fries in it. The Parmesan chicken plate was also so good, the sauce had slight spice but paired perfectly with the flavor profile. Chicken was crispy outside and not dry inside. Steamed veggies had almost a curry seasoning flavor, in a good way! The bar made good drinks. The ambience was quiet and intimate, dim lighting and great service team. Another table ordered dessert and we saw it, looked good so if you wanted dessert give it a consider!

Our food was fantastic. We ordered the roasted beet salad, Diablo chicken, and the power bowl. They were all incredibly fresh and delicious and a really good blend of flavors. The hostess and servers were all really nice. We will be back!

I cannot rave enough about this place. It was our first time here for our birthday weekend, so we wanted to try something new. My day is the 14th and his is the 18th. We got the ribs and bacon burger. Both were phenomenal, the sauce on the ribs was sweet and savory, the burger was incredible, the meat was seasoned perfectly and grilled to perfection. I’m really bad with names but if I remember correctly our waiter was Shelley. He was amazing and went above and beyond, more than most ever would. He is greatly appreciated more than he will ever know. But I definitely recommend this place if you want fine dining but casual fine dining. The place has living plants, great atmosphere with the music in the background, seating arrangement, and cozy feeling.
