About

Bonrue Bakery brings French baking to Hurricane with handcrafted pastries, breakfast dishes, and fresh sandwiches. The modern café displays rows of flaky croissants, fruit tarts, and other treats. These creations rival what you'd find in Paris.

The bakery makes excellent sweet and savory items. For instance, morning visitors love the St. George breakfast sandwich and classic quiche Lorraine. Meanwhile, the lunch menu offers gourmet options like turkey and havarti croissants. Their lunch box deal is popular with hikers. It provides quality food for trail adventures.

What makes Bonrue special is the care in every detail. You'll notice it in their perfectly layered croissants. You'll taste it in their thoughtful sandwich combinations. Furthermore, the staff creates a welcoming atmosphere that matches the inviting space. They help guests choose from the display cases. They also suggest options for dining in or taking to go.

Great spot, great people, great selection of baked goods. Sourdough bread is the best

My dad and I were staying in Hurricane, and just before exiting town, I looked over and saw Bonrue. You can find a lot of baked goods around the parks, so it wasn’t something I jumped at initially. But after looking at their selection, I realized this might be something different. To echo another review, Bonrue is on par with what you’d find in Seoul or Paris (and maybe even better). There’s a nice selection, with many French pastries, croissant variations and some American classics with a European flair. Everything is beautifully displayed and organized and the taste truly lives up to the beauty. Even my dad, who doesn’t react to anything, exclaimed that we should cancel our flight and come back for another round 🤣 He got the donut and said he doesn’t normally like donuts but it was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside outstanding! I’m ALWAYS on the lookout for an almond croissant but I also got seduced into a key lime pie tarte😅 Both were subtly sweet, with an amazing crumbly, thick crust. I would’ve loved the croissant to be just a little flakier as it was a bit dense but the flavor and texture were still great. The woman helping us was extremely enthusiastic and engaging, taking the time to explain the pastries. Gosh, I wish I had this bakery near me. I’d love to see them have the reach of Paris Baguette or Tous Le Jours. They easily exceed the quality. I lived in La Verkin in 2020, and honestly, I would’ve been bankrupt if this place was around then. I think the cost is a teeny bit high but overall it’s justified. We spent about $20 for all 4. I’ll definitely be telling all my friends and family who visit about this gem.

Everything was delicious! A great variety, the place is beautiful, very clean, simple, but with its own unique style. A good selection, varied food.
