Alfredo's A Mexican Food
Casual Mexican spot serving generous portions of familiar favorites with breakfast all day and drive-thru convenience.
About
This Hurricane mainstay serves up the kind of hearty Mexican comfort food that hits the spot after a day exploring southern Utah. The portions are legitimately massive (you've been warned), and the menu covers all the classics from breakfast burritos to loaded nachos that apparently inspire poetry from satisfied customers.
Ordering and Seating Options
The setup is casual and straightforward. You can grab a table inside, hit the drive-thru, or sit on the small patio when the weather's nice.
Menu Highlights
They serve breakfast all day, which is clutch when you're on vacation time and want huevos rancheros at 2 PM. The enchiladas and tacos get consistent praise, and locals swear by the churros.
Location and Hours
What makes Alfredo's particularly useful for Zion travelers is the location right off State Street and the fact they're open Sundays when many Hurricane restaurants aren't. It's about 20 minutes from Zion's main entrance, making it a solid stop for fuel-up meals before hitting the trails or casual dinners when you're too tired to drive all the way to Springdale.
The service is friendly and they're clearly used to feeding hungry hikers and families.
Value and Group Dining
Nothing fancy here, just dependable Mexican food in generous portions at prices that won't dent your travel budget. Perfect for groups since the servings are big enough to share if you want to try multiple dishes.

I got their meal with two beef burritos and rice and beans. The beef in my burritos was raw and cold and my beans and rice were cold and the rice was hard. The staff were very unfriendly and rude during the entire ordeal. The only redeeming quality was that I got a refund but that’s it.

The food is always good, but there is a bad odor like haze in the air that burns my and my wife's eyes. The building needs a better exhaust system.

*** DO NOT EAT HERE*** After reading some of these reviews, I had high hopes for this place but I am confident some of these reviews are bots. It took 15 minutes in the drive thru only to get food that was stale and most certainly reheated from several days prior. Chicken in the chicken tacos are slimy. Food is also over priced for the terrible quality. This business has been reported to the SouthWest Utah Health Department and I was advised they will be sending someone out. For your own safety, I would strongly recommend not eating here.
