About

Pecan Valley Resort combines water park thrills with resort amenities for families looking to cool off in Hurricane. The centerpiece is a clean, well-maintained pool complex featuring multiple slides for different ages and a surf machine that's proven popular with teens and adults. Color-coded wristbands based on height make it easy for lifeguards to manage the different attractions safely.

The resort offers both day passes and overnight stays, making it flexible for different trip lengths. Families can grab food and drinks at the on-site restaurant, though you'll need to stay on the patio level when ordering beverages. The check-in process is straightforward, with staff providing clear guidance on the facilities and safety protocols.

Hurricane sits about 20 minutes from Zion's main entrance, making Pecan Valley a solid base for families who want water park fun between hiking days. The resort's developer has created a community-focused atmosphere that feels welcoming to visitors. It's the kind of place where kids can burn energy in the water while parents relax nearby, then everyone can fuel up for the next Zion adventure.

We had a great time at Pecan Valley Resort. The whole setup was perfect for our family, and having access included with the house we rented made it even better. The staff were all friendly and helpful, but Elmo really stood out. He learned all of our names at the water slides and made it extra fun by sending us down for races. Our kids were a little hesitant at first, but he helped make it exciting, and soon they were going down the slides over and over. Renting a cabana was absolutely worth it. It gave us a comfortable home base to relax, cool off, and keep our stuff together. The food from the grill was also surprisingly good, and the drinks were fun too. Between the slides, lazy river, pool area, cabana, food, and friendly staff, it ended up being one of the best parts of our trip. Great family spot and a place we would definitely go back to.

What an amazing place! We stayed at an Airbnb across the street and received the free tickets each day for the resort. We rented a cabana on the 4th and was completely necessary because there were so many people and all chairs were taken. The cabana was shaded with comfortable seating, a large tv, fan, and fridge. It was also extremely affordable for a major holiday at $150 for the whole day. We were also there the 5th and 6th and the crowd size was perfect. The kids(and adults) loved all the slides and especially the “crazy river”. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. Being able to bring a small cooler with snacks and drinks was a huge plus. BE SURE TO BRING WATER SHOES! The deck gets very hot in the afternoon and has small rocks from the drainage area around the playground. Amazing music and World Cup on the big screen was also a huge plus. We wouldn’t change a thing and we will be back!

This place was very fun and super clean! The chairs were comfy and the area was roomy. There were a few issues.. we found out the ground is extremely hot and you need to bring shoes you can get wet. They do not have towels so we didnt bring any and had to go back home to grab some. And the older woman in the front lobby was very snappy to everyone in the line. The last issue would be that there were at least 2 young ladies wearing thong bikinis and they were lifeguards. I feel that was not appropriate for my children to have to stare at while swimming. So dress code for employees would be nice. I got a response from the owner stating thongs were just the employees swim suit riding up. It was not she took off her full bottoms had a thong on bent over quite a few times walked around posing then put her shorts back on. She was on duty not paying attention. Blonde hair young. And very into herself... ive been a life guard before and would never be allowed to act like that. Your there to watch others not yourself. also no high chairs available in restraunt was very odd.

Took the family to Pecan Valley in St. George and it was a blast. The lazy river is the perfect spot to just float around and unwind while the kids run wild. Both the small and big waterslides had everyone going back for more, and the surf/kneeboard feature is honestly insane. My kids couldn’t get enough of it and I had just as much fun trying it myself. The food was solid too, way better than your average resort spot. And the condos around the property are next level luxury. Spacious, clean, beautiful inside and out. If you’re looking for a vacation that checks every box for the whole family, this is the place. We’re already planning the next trip.
