About

This casual lodge sits right in Springdale, putting you minutes from Zion's main entrance. The family suites work well for groups, with separate sleeping areas and sofabeds that give everyone space to spread out. Recent renovations have updated many of the rooms with modern touches. The staff consistently gets praise for being welcoming and helpful, especially when you roll in after a long day of hiking. Diana and the front desk team know how to make guests feel at home. You'll find complimentary hot coffee and juice in the lobby, plus on-site laundry facilities that come in handy after dusty trail adventures.

Amenities That Matter

  • Tesla charging station on-site (a rarity in this area)

  • Pet-friendly rooms - bring your four-legged hiking companions

  • Walking distance to Springdale's restaurants and shops

  • Easy shuttle access to the park

Rooms come with standard hotel amenities and mountain views from many windows. The breakfast gets you fueled up before hitting the trails, though it's nothing fancy. For families looking for affordable lodging this close to Zion's entrance, the combination of space, location, and pet-friendly policies makes it a practical base camp.

Zion Canyon Lodge – A Memorable Stay 🏨 Our stay at Zion Canyon Lodge was fantastic, made even better by the outstanding service from Diana at the front desk. Her attention to detail and genuine focus on making sure every guest felt taken care of stood out immediately — she was warm, efficient, and clearly takes real pride in her work. It’s the kind of service that makes a good stay a great one. The rooms were comfortable and well-kept. One small suggestion for the team: the boxed breakfast, while convenient, feels a bit impersonal compared to the rest of the experience. Setting it up as a small buffet — with a toaster available for bagels — would go a long way in making mornings feel more welcoming and give guests a bit more choice before heading out to explore the park. Overall, a wonderful stay, and Diana in particular deserves recognition for the excellent hospitality she provides.

We stayed here one night on our road trip when our campsite fell through and it was absolutely amazing! The front desk staff were so lovely and accommodating. Our room was clean and such a relief after camping for a week straight. Our pup had a great time too and the room was perfect for those travelling with a dog! Such a perfect location in walking distance to Zion National Park. Free breakfast and coffee/tea/juice were a huge bonus as well! Would absolutely come back to stay again.

There's NO HOT WATER in our room during the ENTIRE stay. When we asked the front desk, Diana, she explicitly told us that the entire hotel was experiencing a property-wide hot water outage, that a maintenance team was fixing it, and that upper management was fully aware of the issue. We followed up with her a second time later around 8pm, and she repeated the exact same story. Trusting her word, we remained patient. However, no hot water ever came. To make matters worse, when we checked with a different front desk agent the next morning, they had no knowledge of any outage and confirmed that hot water was working fine in other rooms. It is clear that we were repeatedly LIED to just so the staff could avoid dealing with a room-specific maintenance failure or offering us a working room. Paying full price for a hotel room WITHOUT HOT WATER and being deliberately misled twice is completely unacceptable. UPDATE: To add insult to injury, management has now replied to my complaint claiming the hot water was restored within an hour. This is an absolute not true, and I have full, continuous video proof showing the complete lack of hot water throughout the entire duration of our stay.

We had a great experience staying here! We arrived very late — around 4:30am — and since the lobby closes around 9–10pm, I had called ahead to let them know. They went above and beyond by leaving an envelope for us with our key cards along with a personalized note, which was such a thoughtful touch after a long travel day. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed to rest and recharge. Everything felt well-maintained and welcoming. Really appreciated the extra effort and hospitality — it made a stressful late arrival so much easier. Would definitely stay here again!

Extremely overpriced with terrible customer service. The staff are incompetent and unfriendly, the front desk is often unreachable, and management does nothing to address the issues. Most importantly, DO NOT confuse this property with Zion Lodge inside Zion National Park. This property is NOT located inside the national park. With the name “Zion Lodge” and a rate of nearly $400 per night, I was led to believe that this was the lodge inside Zion National Park. In reality, it is essentially a motel-style property where you park directly in front of your room and enter from the outside. I found the combination of the name and the extremely high price deeply misleading and deceptive. Had I known this property was outside the national park, I could have stayed at a much better hotel in the area for this price. I raised this issue with the property, but they took no meaningful action. I have now filed a formal complaint with Expedia regarding this matter. One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Avoid this place.
