Clay was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable of the park and the formations. He made the ride interesting and fun. His balance of sense of humor and information made the day even more enjoyable. I have a disability and could never hike down into Bryce Canyon like these amazing mules did, so it was an opportunity to experience something I could have not done without the mule ride. If you are fortunate enough to get a mule (especially Pearl) you are in for a great and smooth ride. They are so sure footed that they handle the trail like a walk in the park. We loved the ride and definitely recommend for all ages. We chose the 3 hour ½ day Peek-A-Boo Loop and I am so glad that we did. The views were breathtaking. Thank you to the staff and horses/mules that made our experience perfect. Bring cash to tip!

Loved our experience with Bryce Canyon Trail rides! We took the 1 1/2 hour trail ride that takes you down to the canyon floor and loops around and back up again. Beautiful viewpoints from some trails that you wouldn’t normally see if you hiked in the park. The guides were knowledgeable and so nice. The horses and mules were beautiful and well taken care of. Located directly inside the park boundaries next to the Bryce Canyon Lodge. Highly recommend using them if you’re interested in horseback riding through the park!

I had a great ride in Bryce Canyon with Canyon Trail Rides. It’s a well run organisation and the horses and mules all look in good condition and are very fit. I rode a mule for the first time (always being a horse rider) and she was fabulous - forward and responsive. I would say for this sort of up and down terrain the mules are definitely superior. Our guide Quincy was great - chatty and full of jokes (some better than others!) The reason I have only given it 3 stars is one of the horses, a buckskin I think called Cimarron, was very clearly lame. I brought it to the attention of the guide purely in case he had stepped on a rock or something so they could check him out, but the response I received was ‘he’s just old’. I’ve been thinking back since an otherwise very enjoyable ride and it’s made me feel very uncomfortable - if that is not a temporary issue they need to retire that horse. I don’t like seeing animals in pain and that horse was nodding a lot and clearly struggling. Putting beginner riders on that would not notice is not an excuse. It’s a great family business and wonderful way to see the canyon. Everyone is very friendly, however I think they need to manage their older stock a bit better and not just treat them as machines.

We did the 3 hour Bryce Canyon tour and I’m sure glad we did! I was a little apprehensive being that my wife had never ridden a horse prior to this. Not to mention the fear of falling off the side of a cliff. Needless to say we loved every second of it. Our guide Rachel was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. She was so sweet and took the time to answer all of the questions my 11 y/o daughter had to ask, and trust me she had plenty. I would highly recommend the 3 hour tour regardless of your riding experience. The heights can get to you but we never felt like we were in danger.

We had an unforgettable adventure with Hank on our trail ride through Bryce Canyon. The team took the time to ask about my riding experience and thoughtfully paired me with Otto, a gentle mule who had spent years working as a pack mule in the Grand Canyon. Along the way, Hank shared fascinating insights about the area’s history and culture with warmth and humor, while also giving us plenty of time to take in the stunning views and capture photos. I would recommend Bryce Canyon Trail Rides without hesitation—the entire team was exceptional.
