About

The aroma of smoky jerk spices hits you before you even walk through the door. Papa's Got Jerk brings authentic Jamaican flavors to St. George with dishes that transport you straight to the islands. The jerk chicken is the star here – tender, perfectly spiced, and with that signature smoky char that makes people come back day after day.

Beyond the famous jerk chicken, you'll find Jamaican beef patties, cod fritters, and succulent pork that melts off the bone. Each plate comes with rice and your choice of sides, and portions are generous enough to satisfy any appetite. The owner takes pride in every dish and loves sharing the stories behind the meaningful photos that line the walls.

The casual setup works perfectly for families, with both indoor seating and a dog-friendly outdoor patio. Whether you're grabbing takeout for a picnic or settling in for a leisurely dinner, the welcoming atmosphere makes everyone feel at home. Don't worry if you're new to Jamaican cuisine – the flavors are bold but approachable, with just enough spice to keep things interesting.

Located in St. George, it's an easy stop whether you're exploring southern Utah's red rock country or heading to Zion National Park. The quick service and authentic flavors make it a perfect break from typical road trip fare.

One of the best restaurants in St. George. They were super friendly and we received our food really quickly. The wings are INSANE!! I have never had wings where the meat falls off the bone as easy as this. Amazing! Definitely would recommend this to anyone.

on a 5 day trip where my wife, son & i ate lots of great food, this was everyone's absolute favorite spot... I had oxtail with plantains - best version of each I or any of us have ever had... my son had curry chicken, which we all tried and loved... my wife had jerk pork, which was also great... we had a couple jamaican drinks which were also good... owner/chef came out and was really nice... sounds like she's shutting this location down and is going to be running a food truck for a while... if so, it will be the best food truck everywhere it stops... truly, that food was amazing - one of the best meals we've ever had...

Came here for dinner on a Friday night and got the Ox Tail, Jerk Chicken. We arrived after 7:30 and some of the sides we wanted to try were gone so next time we will come sooner. The food was flavorful and very good. My only feedback is the timing of the food. There was one wonderful worker focused on the food while another chatted with people waiting for their food. Plan for the food to take a min. Dining outside can feel like you’re in an echo chamber.

I walked into Papa’s Jerk Jamaican Restaurant thinkin’ I’d just fill mi belly and lose a likkle cash… but nah, mi bredren—NO, MI HAFFI TELL YUH PROPERLY. Respect fi di volume, ya know. Mi leave wid more than food—mi leave wid a whole new family pon di island vibe, mi wife still deh confused like “weh just happen??” 😭 plus a likkle peanut situation (worth it, still standing strong), and a brand new purpose inna life: live irie, eat bold, and move like Kingston royalty. Di jerk? 🔥 Straight fire, season up proper—every bite a shout “YA MON!” loud and clear. Rice and peas hittin’ like a drumline, and di flavor dem? Nuff respect, mi bruddahs, yuh cook wid soul. Mi say dis clear…talk di tings dem nice, show love, and dem show it right back tenfold. Energy sweet, vibes cleaner than a fresh pressed linen pon Sunday. Yuh dun know already—mi deh pon a new path now. From St. George straight to yard inna mi heart. If a dirt, a dirt… but dis? Dis ya meal clean, righteous, and irie. Jah bless. 🙏
