About

East Zion Resort brings a refreshing twist to southern Utah lodging with its collection of distinctive accommodations scattered across a scenic property in Orderville. From elevated treehouses with wraparound decks to stargazer cabins featuring skylights perfect for meteor watching, the resort specializes in memorable stays that go beyond the typical hotel experience. Each unit comes thoughtfully equipped with full kitchenettes, modern amenities, and private outdoor spaces complete with fire pits or BBQ grills.

The resort's strategic location between Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks makes it an ideal basecamp for exploring both iconic destinations. Orderville sits roughly 30 minutes from Zion's east entrance and 45 minutes from Bryce, allowing guests to avoid the crowds at either park's gateway towns while still maintaining easy access to both. The property itself offers resort amenities including pools and gathering areas, creating a retreat atmosphere after days spent hiking red rock trails.

Accommodations range from cozy yurts and safari-style tents to tiny houses and those signature treehouses perched among the canopy. Each dwelling type maintains the resort's commitment to comfort, featuring quality bedding, reliable WiFi, smart TVs, and well-appointed kitchens for preparing meals. The stargazer cabins have proven particularly popular, with their glass ceilings offering unobstructed views of Utah's famously dark skies.

Families find the resort especially appealing, with its variety of unique lodging options creating an adventure in itself for kids while parents appreciate the practical amenities and peaceful setting. The friendly staff provides insider recommendations for both parks, and the nearby Thunderbird Restaurant in Mt. Carmel offers a convenient dining option when guests prefer not to cook. For travelers seeking something more imaginative than a standard hotel room while exploring southern Utah's national parks, East Zion Resort delivers both novelty and comfort in equal measure.

We just spent 5 nights at the East Zion Resort for a girl's hiking trip to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. We rented the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin and we were all very pleased with it. Everything about the cabin was top notch! It was a little separated from the rest of the resort, but we actually loved that about it. It was so peaceful and a great spot to relax after a busy day! I would definitely recommend this spot for somehow who is looking for a location that is a bit tucked away and quiet rather than a busy, touristy location. It was just what we needed!

An awesome place to stay. We stayed in treetop cabin #9 for 1 night. It was a little tight for 3 of us (we were over packed too), but it was manageable. The cabin is stocked with everything you need and the beds were really comfortable. The views are awesome and the upper pool was great. I met a lady (maybe the owner or manager) who was incredibly nice and great to talk to. Truly great customer service. We definitely hope to visit again.

We stayed in one of the Mirror houses and it was amazing! The views in the morning and night were gorgeous from the spacious windows. Location was perfect for us to visit Bryce and Zion’s Canyon, and there were some great food options super close to us as well. We loved cooling off at the lazy river pool after a hot day in the park. The only negative thing was the TV didn’t work and the room did have a slight cigarette smell, but truly an amazing place to stay! We would def book a mirror house again.

We loved our stay here! We will definitely stay here anytime we plan to be in Zion or Kanab, it’s so close to both and makes it the perfect base camp. Plus they have so many fun types of lodging, we did the yurt this time but want to come back and do a stargazer or treehouse. So many fun types, my kids loved it too. The pool is super fun, not very often a resort has a lazy river and my kids loved it. The staff is super friendly and helpful! I very site comes with your own fireplace, grill, outdoor seating and almost any kitchen utensil or pot/pan you can think of. They’ve really thought of it all! Eat at Archie’s food truck next door, really yummy! We liked The Rock Stop and The Coffee Shop for coffee nearby too.

Had a great stay at Treehouse 09 in the East Zion Resort. Very clean and cozy. Had everything we needed for our stay. Watched beautiful sunsets from our deck. Being able to see the beautiful starry skies through the skylight was amazing. Very nice amenities at the resort. Although we were too tired from hiking to play Pickleball, the hot tub soaks were relaxing. If we travel back to Utah, we will definitely stay again! The yurts look super cool as well.
