About

Aikens Lodge brings a touch of retro charm to Kanab with clean, comfortable rooms that hit the sweet spot between nostalgia and modern comfort. The motel's vintage aesthetic pairs perfectly with updated amenities like free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and thoughtful touches like bedside reading lights. Rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and spotless bathrooms.

The seasonal outdoor pool provides a refreshing break after long days exploring southern Utah's red rock country. The property maintains a quiet, relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for families and travelers looking to unwind without breaking the bank.

Kanab sits perfectly positioned for exploring multiple national parks and monuments. You're about 45 minutes from Zion's east entrance via the scenic Zion-Mount Carmel Highway, and equally close to the North Rim of Grand Canyon (seasonal), Bryce Canyon, and Coral Pink Sand Dunes. The town itself offers plenty of dining options and serves as a popular filming location for Western movies.

The lodge delivers solid value with rates that leave room in your budget for park adventures and local dining. Staff are known for being helpful with area recommendations and travel tips. It's the kind of place that proves you don't need luxury amenities to have a great stay when the basics are done right.

This was a last minute booking through Priceline due to everything within close proximity to Zion NP was either booked, closed (campgrounds) or approaching 800 dollars a night. Overall was pleasantly surprised. Our purpose was just to have a place to sleep and this was more than adequate. There are absolutely no frills or amenities, but we didn’t need any. Having to check in at the Best Western down the block was a little inconvenient, but makes sense. Room was clean. No bugs, no smell. Definitely an old property, but has been maintained well. There was no noise, and our room was able to accommodate our family of 6. Room had a fridge, no microwave. Tv service minimal. Breakfast was at the best western (pretty easy walk) and was very good. I would book here again if needed.

⚠️ Warning We checked into Aikens Lodge on 25/09/2025 and were greeted not by staff but by a notice on the door stating the reception was shut due to staffing shortages. Guests were told to go to the Best Western Red Hills a short walk away. Because of this, the pool was inaccessible, and breakfast for both properties was crammed into a single undersized dining area. None of these major changes were communicated to us beforehand, even though our booking included these facilities at Alkene Lodge. The room we were given was in very poor condition: thick dust, a shower covered in limescale, and a filthy, extremely noisy air-conditioning unit. On the following day, we requested either to be moved to Best Western or to receive a refund. Only after pressing firmly did we manage to secure a refund for the unused nights. Overall, an extremely disappointing stay. Lodge on 25/09/2025 and were greeted not by staff but by a notice on the door stating the reception was shut due to staffing shortages. Absolute gem of a hotel! I travel a lot to Kanab for work and this immediately made it to the top of my list for stays. Don't expect anything super fancy, but the retro aspects and SUPER CLEAN rooms are so perfect, quiet, comfy, cozy. Plenty of amenities and VERY friendly and helpful staff, rooms are very cozy and it's in the perfect location to walk to anywhere you want to go down main street. Also DOG FRIENDLY I will absolutely stay here again, I cannot recommend this cozy place enough!

I stayed here for one night and really liked it. The room was clean, with no unpleasant smells, and the bathroom was neat. I especially liked the little light by the bed. Overall, everything was good, especially for the price, I paid around $70, and that’s a very nice deal.
