How to use this map

Every pin type is its own layer — tap a chip above the map to show or hide it. Start with Entrances, Visitor Centers, and Shuttle Stops to get oriented, then turn on Camping or Lodging to see how close a place actually is to where you'll spend your days. Trailheads and Parks & Visitor Info are off by default since Zion has dozens of each — flip them on once you've narrowed things down.

Planning your shuttle stops in detail? Use the Zion Shuttle Planner — it turns this same stop list into a timed, last-shuttle-safe itinerary.

Zion National Park Map FAQ

Does this map show the actual trails, or just pins?

Right now it plots trailheads, listings, and park infrastructure as pins — not the literal trail line on the ground. Real trail-line overlays are on our roadmap as we backfill trail geometry for more hikes.

Is the shuttle line on the map the real road?

It connects the 9 Zion Canyon Line shuttle stops in order so you can see the sequence, but it's a straight-line approximation, not a traced road. For the actual Scenic Drive, use the Zion Shuttle Planner or nps.gov/zion.

Why are hiking and parks layers off by default?

Zion has dozens of trailheads and park-info listings — showing every layer at once on load gets cluttered fast. Tap a layer's chip above the map to turn it on.

Can I use this to plan where to stay?

Yes — turn on Lodging and/or Camping and compare pins against the shuttle stops and entrances to judge how close (or far) a property really is from where you'll spend your day.
