About

Camp Outpost brings a fresh take on American comfort food to Springdale, combining crowd-pleasing favorites with unexpected twists that keep visitors coming back. The fried chicken sandwich has achieved near-legendary status among guests, with its perfectly crispy coating and thoughtful preparation earning rave reviews. Beyond the signature sandwich, the menu showcases dishes like roasted chicken with arugula and Yukon gold potatoes, creative brussel sprouts, and a satisfying club sandwich.

The restaurant strikes a balance between casual mountain town dining and culinary ambition. While the atmosphere remains relaxed and welcoming, the kitchen clearly takes pride in elevating simple ingredients into memorable meals. The bar program offers creative cocktails like cucumber margaritas, though some guests find the pours light for the price point. Still, the food quality and reasonable pricing for a gateway town make this a standout choice.

Perched with views of the surrounding red rock canyon walls, Camp Outpost provides an ideal lunch or dinner stop for Zion visitors. The combination of breathtaking scenery, friendly service, and genuinely good food creates a dining experience that feels special without being stuffy. After a day hiking Angels Landing or exploring the Narrows, settling in here with a cold drink and that famous chicken sandwich feels like the perfect way to cap off a Zion adventure.

We had dinner here after a day in the park. They were busy and told us right off that they were running a little short staffed. Even so, service we quick and overwhelmingly positive and friendly despite how much they were literally running to keep up. The food was outstanding. Not your average rotisserie chicken. In fact, the food was so good that we got carryout the next night to eat for our last meal in town. If we ever come back we’ll be sure to eat here.

Stopped here after driving and hiking all day. Food was tasty, great NA beer selections, and amazing views!! My husband got the half rotisserie chicken which was tender and filling!

Been to 2 other restaurants in town for dinner, this was by far the best. Got the half roasted chicken on a bed of greens and potatoes, the camp burger and Brussels sprouts with homemade ranch. They have margs and beers with amazing table views of the sunset on the cliffs above. Would go again!

I will give it 5 stars because the roasted chicken was so delicious and the perfect meal after a looong day hiking in the park. Service was not great though

Ordered the nachos special and it came out missing nearly all the toppings, just chips drenched in sauce and a few corn kernels… fine whatever but the waitress was not nice at all when I asked for the rest of the toppings. First she said I didn’t add chicken so that’s why, then I pointed out the missing veggies and she said she’d bring some out, ten minutes later and still missing half the toppings. They must’ve run out of the toppings because they took the nacho special sign down before we left. I recommend the cafe right down the street, much better food, great service, cheaper too.
